tri-lingual
Jag funderar på det här med språk.
I am convinced that I speak excellent English. Ich bin überzeugt davon, dass ich ausgezeichnet gut Englisch spreche. Better than I ever will be able to speak German. But since I got to Innsbruck, I seem to have forgotten most of it. When I open my mouth to say anything in English, Wörter in Deutsch kommen aus. I can´t understand what happend to me.
I bought a book today, ”Cause of death” by Patricia Cornwall. Reading in English will perhaps help me brush up my sleeping English vocabulary.
I wonder if it would be possible for me to concentrate on all three languages? German, English and Swedish. And I wonder if I ever could develope such a feeling for English or German that I have for my mother tounge.
Skulle jag kunna skriva personligt, skriva dagbok till exempel, på ett annat språk. Auf Deutsch? In English?
Ich habe keine englisch-schwedisch Wörterbuch nach Innsbruck mitgebracht und muß deshalb in Doris englisch-deutsch Wörterbuch nachschlagen. That is kind of amusing 
”His tone was omnious (unheilvoll)… ”You ever had to wade (waten) through a sewer (Abwasserkanal) with no light on?” ”I realised the hose (Schlauch) must be snagged (hängen bleiben), explaining why was so taut (angespannt).”
Two of my and Elin´s classes started today. We are taking Stilistik E for Mrs Heller und Idiomatik E for Mr Oberhofer at the Institut für Translationswisseschaft. I think both classes will be interesting, especially the Stilistik, ich möchte gern lernen, bessere Texte in deutsch zu schreiben.
Nu är jag dödstrött. Skall gå och sova och läsa lite i min deckare. På engelska.
